1. Who is responsible for your data
Distorted Co. (trading as DISTORTD) is the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data collected through https://distortd.co. Our registered address is:
Johri FarmsSouth DelhiNew Delhi, Delhi110025India2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to sell and deliver an order:
- Contact and delivery details — your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address, entered by you at checkout.
- Order details — the items, sizes, colours, and amounts in your order, and the order status.
- Payment confirmation — the payment and order reference returned by our payment gateway. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank credentials.
- Cart contents — held in your own browser’s local storage so your cart survives a refresh. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us until you check out.
We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
3. Why we use it
- To take payment for, produce, and deliver your order.
- To send you order confirmations and tracking updates.
- To handle cancellations, refunds, and support requests.
- To meet our tax, accounting, and other legal obligations in India.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the providers that make an order possible:
- Razorpay — our payment gateway, which processes your payment and holds the card or UPI details we never receive.
- Courier partner — receives the contact and delivery details needed to deliver your order and arrange return collections.
- Government authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as required by Indian tax and company law, and no longer than necessary for the purposes above. Support correspondence is kept while it remains relevant to a claim.
6. Cookies and local storage
We group browser storage into three categories, and you control the optional two from the cookie banner or the Cookie settings link in the footer.
- Essential — browser local storage that remembers your cart between page loads, and the cookies our payment gateway sets once checkout opens. These cannot be switched off without breaking the store. Cart data stays on your device and only reaches us when you place an order.
- Analytics — anonymous traffic statistics. Off by default.
- Marketing — measuring whether a link or an advertisement brought you here. Off by default.
At present we run no analytics and no advertising trackers at all, so the optional categories currently control nothing. They exist so that if we ever add such a tool, it will only load for visitors who have already opted in, rather than the consent being added afterwards.
Your choice is stored on your own device and can be changed at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. Clearing your browser data resets it, and we will ask again.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also withdraw consent to non-essential processing.
To exercise any of these, email hello@distortd.co from the address used on the order. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to the people who need it to fulfil an order. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes and contact
We update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Questions go to hello@distortd.co or the contact page.
